ABOUT: A modern zoo is  a living environment for animals, their home, but also a journey into the unknown for visitors. So that the possibility of communing with nature was not at its expense, we wanted to create a place where we would provide animals with their natural environment in an unprecedented scope. The area of about 2.5 ha is to be inhabited not only by 20 gorillas, but also redhead mangabs, sitatungi, bongo antelopes, monkeys, kusimans and birds. All animals must be provided with welfare. Our task was to create an object that would blend in with the landscape of the tropical habitat of animals that are to live here. Visitors should see happy animals playing and running in open spaces.
